From Nice Côte d'Azur Airport (France) to Imperia

As the first step, take the bus from the Nice Côte d'Azur Airport to the Nice-Ville Station. From Nice-Ville Station to Imperia Station, two alternatives are possible, namely Solution 1 and Solution 2.

Bus: Nice Côte d'Azur Airport ⇒ Nice-Ville Station

Estimated travel time: about 30 minutes
The Nice-Ville Station can be easily reached by bus from the Nice Côte d'Azur Airport in about half an hour. Buses depart both from Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of the airport.

Tickets must be purchased in the sales spaces listed in the previous link (but remember, you cannot buy your ticket on board during sale spaces opening hours).

Solution 1

The easiest way to reach Imperia from the Nice-Ville Station is to take a direct train. Unfortunately, only three direct trains per day are availlable between Nice-Ville Station and Imperia Station.

1. Train: Nice-Ville Station ⇒ Imperia Station

Estimated travel time: about 1 hour and 20 minutes
Only three direct trains per day are availlable between Nice-Ville Station and Imperia Station.
Train schedule, and ticket purchase are available at the Thello train company website.
To buy ticket, fill the form in the home page of the Thello website, by writing in the field "From" the keyword "Nice" and in the field "To" the keyword "Imperia". Remember to fill also the fields related to the departure date and time. Once selected the desired train trip, follow the instructions to buy the ticket.

Solution 2

An alternative solution, with more trains, is the following:

1. take the train from Nice-Ville Station to Ventimiglia Station;
2. take the train from Ventimiglia Station to Imperia Station.

1. Train: Nice-Ville Station ⇒ Ventimiglia Station

Estimated travel time: about 1 hour
From Nice-Ville Station you have to take a train directed to Ventimiglia Station. In the central hours of the day, the frequency of trains directed to Ventimiglia Station is about one train every 30 minutes.

2. Train: Ventimiglia Station ⇒ Imperia Station

Estimated travel time: about 30 minutes
The frequency of trains between Ventimiglia Station and Imperia Station, in the central hours of the day, is about one train every 30 minutes.
The schedule of the trains, and the possibility to buy the ticket online, can be found in the Trenitalia train company website.
To buy the ticket, fill the form in the home page of the Trenitalia website, by writing in the field "From" the keyword "Ventimiglia" and in the field "To" the keyword "Imperia". Remember to fill also the fields related to the departure date and time. Once selected the desired train trip, follow the instructions to buy the ticket.
